A couple of screaming monkeys

Here is our walking girl and her newest friend, a Pink Screaming Monkey! Emerson is all about monkeys! She loves them and is starting to amass quite the collection. After Emerson gave her new monkey a few kisses, we spent the rest of the afternoon terrorizing the cats :)

The coolest thing!

Yes, I ordered a bald little baby!

Actually, its the little diaper bag that's the coolest thing. It's from Skip*Hop and it's called the "Pronto". I was getting tired of hauling Emerson's big diaper bag around and wanted something that I could put into my purse and go. It's got pockets for diapers, a spare onsie, wipes and bottom cream. The changing pad is detachable, which can make the Pronto even smaller. I love it. And it's good thing, as we used it today when Emerson had a blowout at brunch (the first time in a long time...her tummy is still recovering from the last round of antibiotics). Everything I needed was there and we were able to leave the restaurant with our dignity.

P.S. Sorry again, Dena. I am glad you are not fazed by anything my daughter is able to produce! We are glad we got to spend time with you and Parker and your mom this weekend. Thanks again Dianne for the lovely treat!

April Fool

Some of you were easier than others!

Ricardo and I have no plans for this anytime soon. Don't get us wrong...having babies is great and all, but we are REALLY liking sleep now that we're getting it again :)

Not what I ordered

No, I did not order a "Devil Cat" from Harvey's.

This is what I ordered and I LOVE it! It's a Harvey's Seatbelt Bag. I saw a lady with one and could not resist asking her where she got it and have been wanting one ever since. No retailers in San Antonio, so I had to order it online (God, I love the internet, Thanks Al Gore for inventing it). It's made from seat belts (duh!) and comes in many colors and styles. This is the black large tote. Durable, big, easy to clean...what more could a working mom want? Maybe another bag.....

My Easter Bunny

This past Easter, we went out for a wonderful brunch at the Onmi. The spread was awesome and went on forever. Emerson enjoyed being out and really enjoyed her Yo Baby! Strawberry Banana yogurt. And she needed it because of all the antibiotics she's been on. Here's Emerson and her dad, full of good stuff!

Emerson didn't quite know what to make of the Easter Bunny.

Emerson and Mommy....Emerson looks fine, Mommy could use a nap! Mommy is NOT used to drinking mimosa's in the morning!


It was a candy-free Easter. The Easter Bunny left Emerson bunny and duck puppets, a pink rubber ducky for the bath, plastic eggs and plastic bunnies filled with barrettes and a sweet little patchwork bunny to play with. The plastic eggs were a big hit! She also got a sweet Easter Pooh book and beautiful pink sundress from Miss Angela. Thank You Angela, for always thinking of Emerson. She also got a sweet white bunny that "clucks" from her Tio Aurelio and Daelin. The candy that came with it has somehow gone missing!

Clean Bill

Emerson visited the pediatrician today for her follow-up to her never ending ear infection and got a clean bill of health. Ears look good, so no ENT for now. The last antibiotic she was on was hard on her tummy, but she made it and now doesn't have to go back til she is 18 months!
