Beach Baby

A short video of Emerson at the beach. This girl was born to play in the water.

A hunting we will go......

Last weekend, Rico and I took Emerson to an Easter Egg Hunt at the local park. The hunt was put on by our workplace, so we go to see lots of familiar faces. It's nice to get together with work friends outside of work with our families.

Emerson with her eggs in her basket. She was so proud of herself!

Collecting eggs. The hunting sections were divided up into different age groups, so Emerson didn't have to worry about getting overrun by big kids.

My sweet little bunny girl. She is such a good sport when it comes to wearing her cute bunny ears. She got lots of compliments on how cute she was.

Since the egg hunt was at a park, there was the added bonus of being able to play the morning away. Emerson has no fear of slides, the higher, the better.

Of course Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny were in attendance. Emerson didn't want anything to do with them this year. This is as close as she would get, and only with Rico there. She watched the bunny couple with big eyes as we wandered around the hunt grounds....there was no way one of them was going to sneak up on her. She acted this way with Santa this year as well. Stark contrast to last year when she was more curious than afraid. Next year I'm sure she'll love them both, Santa and the bunnies!

Cowgirl

Emerson and Old Paint have become good friends. This girl can ride this horse all by herself now as her hands reach the handlebars and her feet reach the stir ups. Emerson makes sure to say
'Goodnight' to her horse every night and waves bye to him every morning when she leave the house. The only thing that is bothersome is that this horse has a tendency to whinny and neigh in the middle of the night if the little noisemaker didn't get shut off after a ride.

Un-bubble Bath

Emerson likes to happily play in the tub without water for about 30 to 45 minutes at a time. This makes sense to me because she LOVES her bath and fights getting out of it at bath time. If she didn't get cold, she'd probably stay in there indefinitely. I guess this is her way of getting more time with her bath toys without getting cold.
